Fiery red. Brick red. Bridal red. Sexy red. It’s a bright, bold colour that signifies passion, temper, warning. Attention-grabbing and head-turning red. I love it! Admittedly, I’ve only worn a true red outfit once – my mom’s buttery soft vintage silk sari from India at my first wedding anniversary dinner party. It’s a high maintenance colour and I’m not brave enough to wear it daily but I will admit to owning several shades of red lipstick that just make the outfit and the mood. And of course, the essential wardrobe staple- the true red strappy standal. I picked mine up from Zara in Paris on our epic roadtrip-across-Europe honeymoon. There’s not much call to wear them these days what with the two kids and not much time to dress up, but I still hold on to them for when the Baby and the Boy are older and regular date nights are a thing around here once again.
