Charles Eames said “Design is in the details” and nowhere is it truer than with couture fashion. This belief- and the subsequent fine attention paid to detail- is what makes high fashion stand out from high street fashion, other than the price tag of course! Sometimes the details are part of the design and sometimes they’re the perfect finishing touch to an outfit. They can be subtle like an earring, a well-placed pleat, or a fabric covered button, or as grand as all-over beading and extravagant draping. Whichever way they are executed, the absence of colour in an all-white palette is the perfect canvas for showcasing these design-making details.
Also, it is very clear to me that I am in dire need of those perforated white leather gloves. They are ridiculously chic, don’t you think?
