I’ll admit, I’m late to the sneaker game. They have traditionally been Mr. Tall’s shoe of choice. He denies it but I can testify he currently has 3423 pairs in every material, cut and colour imaginable. A man with a great shoe collection = so hot. But I digress, now that I’m in on this, it’s time to make some space in our closet. I place the blame on this current obsession entirely on black leather sneakers and their lethal combination of good looks, comfort, and instant effortless style. Let me show you a few ways to style your sneakers.
Laura Dittrich from Fashion Landscape is absolutely killing it in the outfit below- the leather lace up pants, the white shirt, the sweater and coat and, of course, those amazing slip-on’s. Everything is so on point and looks so comfortable. Winning everywhere.
Lee Perrino of Modern Legacy is another lady who knows of what she speaks. I love the outfit on it’s own but the shoes just kick it up a notch and take it from predictably sexy to approachable and obtainable. That is a real skill, friends.

And lastly, my personal style icon, Olivia Palermo. I’ve never seen her in anything that hasn’t been the definition of “fresh and chic” and these high tops, nay, this whole outfit, is no exception.
Of the many options out there, I’ve selected seven of the chicest, most stylish pairs just for you. Most of these are from Nordstrom because their anniversary sale is coming up very soon, so if you’re in the market for black leather sneakers, hopefully you’ll be able to score a great deal on one of these! (No, this isn’t sponsored by Nordstrom. Just my little gift to you :))
My absolute favourites are #2, the Adidas Originals Stan Smith sneakers with the leopard heel detail, but really, who am I kidding, I’ll take one pair of each please!
