Well, hello there! If you noticed I took a break two weeks into our vacation, you’d be right. I realized there was just too much going on and in the interest of doing justice to this blog, and in my newly-resolved effort to live mindfully, I needed to experience moments as they happened in real time and not worry about documenting every single second for social media. It’s a fine line, isn’t it, especially as a blogger who is, well, a little addicted to social media, I admit. In the end, I’m glad I chose that route because although I missed my blog, the benefit of being present with my loved ones was so much greater. All too soon, that time passed and I’m back and feeling refreshed and isn’t that the best ever? Before I get back into regularly scheduled blogging, I thought I’d do a quick round up of our vacation photos and fill you in on everything that’s been going on.
In a nutshell, Toronto was wonderful. We spent an amazing weekend at the cottage, reconnected with our family and best friends, did quite a bit of shopping (of course), and just generally tried to take it easy but also soak up every single minute of our vacation time, if that makes sense? Luckily, our flight back was nothing like our flight there so we ended our time off on a high note.
Without further ado, here are some photos of the best of our times in Toronto. As always, follow me on Instagram @sofreshandsochic for daily updates.

There was lots of pool time at Grandma’s house (and my new favourite summer nailpolish, Alpine Snow from OPI)…

Discovered a new favourite lippy (Peony Pink from Loreal) just in time for National Lipstick Day…

We celebrated 8 years together… (Photo by Boyfriend/Girlfriend Pictures)

I discovered the prettiest floors at Cluny in the Distillery District (My new flats are from Forever 21)…

One more from Cluny and their pretty Parisian vintage vibe…

I discovered these gorgeous grown-up colouring books at my favourite store, Indigo…

Where I also picked up these adorable BabyLit Jane Austen books and baby girl’s new Manhattan Toys doll…

And before we knew it, five weeks had come and gone in a heartbeat and we were on our way home with a ridiculous amount of luggage, a stroller and a car seat!
Until next time,
