When I first wrote about temporary removable wallpaper for renters back in March this year, I had no idea it would become one of the most popular posts on the blog! A pleasant surprise, for sure, and one that definitely warrants a revisit given how many of you come to the blog searching for that particular topic.
For today’s post, I’ve rounded up a few more of my favourite removable wallpapers for renters, everything from a gorgeous skull pattern (WANT) to a bold blue Ikat print. These would be great in any room on their own or even as a backdrop to open shelving, or how about drawer liners as a little surprise every time you pull one open?
Most of these companies have lots of lovely, trendy and traditional, designs so click on through if none of these are exactly what you were looking for. Spoonflower, in particular, is fabulous because almost all of their inventory can also be bought as fabric or gift wrap in addition to wallpaper, or you can even upload your own design for something truly one-of-a-kind! Sweet.

Haha well there’s a first time for everything, right? 😉 Have you seen the first part of this series on removable wallpapers? Also great choices!
How temporary is this temporary wallpaper? Can it be easily removed after a year?
You would have to research each company individually but that’s the general idea. Easy on, easy off!
Home Depot’s website says the Innocence pattern is not a removable wall paper. What did you do to make it “removable”?
Hi Jennifer! First, I’m so sorry for the late response. I don’t seem to be getting notifications any longer! Anyhow, under “Product Overview” on the Home Depot website, it says “Wallpaper can be removed in full strips when you’re ready for a change.” I believe traditional wallpapers have to be either soaked or have adhesive applied to them which makes them more difficult to remove vs. removable ones which typically are either stick-ons or like this one where you apply the adhesive to the wall before you stick the paper on. Perhaps call Graham & Brown to confirm? Good luck!
What about wall textures? Do the walls have to be smooth or can they have a little texture for the paper to work?
Hi Sarah! I don’t see why not! I think lightly textured walls may show through the paper depending on the thickness of the wallpaper, but it shouldn’t hinder the stickiness. My advice would be to order a sample and leave it up for a few days to see how it does. This will also help you see how well/easily it comes off. Let me know how it goes! xo
