You guys, I never thought I would say the words “minimalist”, “modern” and “ceiling fans” all in the same sentence, but here we go: in today’s post, I’ll be showing you 12 minimalist and modern ceiling fans!
How did this come about? Well, this morning, I received a text from a very good friend of mine who is currently renovating her dream house. She has excellent taste, is a bonafide DIY expert, and one day I will convince her to do a house tour for the blog. In the meantime, we discuss to death details like brass drawer pulls in the kitchen (so good!) and the perfect chandelier for the dining room (Scandinavian? Traditional? Modern?). It’s all a lot of fun if you’re as obsessed with interior design as we are. The next challenge on her to-do list is finding ceiling fans that don’t suck, and so here we are. After all, what else am I here for than to resolve design dilemmas? Speaking of, if there’s anything you want me to write a post on, please email me! I would love to answer more reader queries!

Love, right? Numbers 1, 3 and 7 are going right on my wish list!
Which one would you choose for your space?
Thank you for this perfectly curated list, you’re the ultimate shopper. Did I know who to ask, or what!?! Hehe
Because I love all things black, simple and understated, I am loving #3. #12 would look fantastic in my sunroom; chic with some edge. Also, #11 is making me wish I had waited to get my kitchen fan… Hmmm… They’re all beautiful!
Anytime, my friend! I’m always happy to curate haha. And yes, I thought you’d love #3! šš¼
do you even know what “minimalist” means?
I only see one truly minimalist design. the rest are actually fairly ornate or decorative.
Respectfully, I disagree. All of the fans above fit the minimalist aesthetic with their clean, uncomplicated lines and profiles. Ornate implies a heavily decorative or accented style, and in my opinion, none of the fans fit that description. No. 4 perhaps is the “fanciest” of all the minimalist styles shown but I still wouldn’t classify it as ornate. Thanks for sharing your opinion.
