Friday Finds this week are so good, guys! I’m super excited, so let’s get right into things!

1. Easy DIY: Upcycling a Window Frame
I love this idea from Swedish interior stylist, Pella Hedeby. Her work is so beautiful. I’ve never walked away from her blog with less than a brain racing full of ideas on how to update and transform our living spaces. This simple upcycling project proves that the best ideas are often the simplest ideas- simply hang up an old window frame and then use it as a shadow box to display art and small trinkets! Bonus points for finding a distressed and/or vintage frame, and replicating that gorgeous clip-on light feature.

2. New at Target: Hearth & Hand with Magnolia
I’ve got a confession to make- I’ve never seen an episode of Fixer Upper. What can I say? We haven’t had cable in years and TV time is precious around here and dedicated to catching up on sci-fi shows we both love. Basically, I never understood the hype behind it’s stars, Chip & Joanna Gaines. All of that ended the second I previewed Hearth&Hand, the collection they designed for Target and, guys, it’s stunning.
To my eyes, it is Scandinavian minimalism with a little bit of industrial farmhouse mixed in. It focuses on black and white pieces, streamlined looks and clean lines, and graphic elements like the little plus signs on the black ornaments. I also adore the gorgeous pops of emerald green, details like the raw edges on the dinner plates, and the plaid pattern woven throughout. Feel free to pin and share the good news! You can also preview (and shop on November 5th!) the entire collection here.

3. Interior Styling Inspiration
Pipkorn & Kilpatrick are my new current obsession. Interior designers based in Australia, these ladies know how to style a drop dead gorgeous room. Exhibit A: Kew House. Here, they were commissioned to redesign the reading room in this stunning Edwardian home. (I would LOVE to see the rest of the house, wouldn’t you? Well, you will once you’ve seen this space anyway!) I’ll stop here and let the pictures speak for themselves.
Told you! Photos by Martina Gemmola.
4. Best of Etsy
I favourited Yarning Made on Etsy a long time ago. I think it may have been around the time I was expecting my son, so about six years ago? At the time, I thought her hand knitted typography baby blankets were the bees knees (and I always regret not ordering one!). Fast forward to now and I’m still obsessed! And I’m not the only one: they won the Etsy Award for top Kids & Baby products for their “ZZZ.” blanket! Here are a few of my favourite blankets from the Yarning Made shop. (P.S.: Sandra also knits matching blankets for doll beds! How much cuter can you get?)
- Baby Blanket: ZZZ.
- Baby Blanket: Cream & Grey Heart
- Baby Blanket: Hi Cream & Black
- Baby Blanket: Scallops
5. The Minimalist Winter Wardrobe You’re Missing
Minimalist, comfortable, and perfectly chic, FIGTNY models the winter wardrobe we’re all missing. I know LA doesn’t get nearly as cold to warrant cashmere, but the tone on tone pairings shown here are making my heart flutter. I have to replicate these looks! Swap out the cashmere sweaters for the lightest, softest woven tees instead? What do you think? P.S.: FIGTNY is a gorgeous blog from top to toe and all about that modern, minimalist, monochrome life. I’m here for it. You should totally add it to your must-read list. Also, her Pinterest game is strong. Hrm, perhaps this section should have been named Blog Crush of the Week instead?
