Well, hello! Welcome to yet another Friday. Woo hoo! What are your plans for this weekend? Mine include a Halloween party for the kids, possibly some beach time, and seeing some old and dear friends.

1. Scandinavian Style
Only Deco Love is one of my favourite blogs for Scandinavian style inspiration. If you love minimalist, clean products with a touch of mid-century style, that are made responsibly, and with a keen eye for design, then let me introduce you to Ferm Living. The Home is their new showroom in Copenhagen and it is not open to the public but a few weeks ago Katerina was able to visit and is sharing a look inside on her blog.

It is a calm, thoughtful space, saturated in modern pastels and beautiful clean lines on everything, from furniture to the walls (literally!). Everything you see (and more!) is available in their web shop. Tour the whole space on Only Deco Love here.

2. How to Make the Perfect Messy Bun
I don’t know about y’all but most days I have no idea what to do with my hair. It’s mid-length and the ridiculous dry weather in LA just makes it really frizzy and unmanageable. Short of flat ironing it every day, which I don’t love (because of heat damage, time and, just, it feels very dated somehow?) the messy bun has become my style saviour.

Messy Bun Tutorial via Hello Fashion
Here’s a tutorial from Hello Fashion about how to make the perfect messy bun. It works on shoulder length hair too but of course, the shorter your hair, the less volume it will have. In any case, this version of the messy bun is super simple and lends itself well to “artful” arrangement haha.
3. Fall Outfit Inspiration
I absolutely loved the neutrals in Michael Kors Fall 2017 collection. Outfits were paired in camel and black, ivory and brown, burgundy and black, camel and grey, and my favourite look, dark brown and olive green. Here are a few pieces inspired by the latter, and mostly well under $300. Happy shopping!

4. Positive Thoughts
I debated between posting this as a Blog Crush of the Week or as one of my favourite posts from the blog, and then decided on a little bit of both, because I love Thirteen Thoughts! I bookmarked Paula’s post on 12 Affirmations to Boost Confidence and Self-Esteem as soon as I read it because who doesn’t need that kind of support? I definitely need reminders.
Once again, if you’re not already utilizing Pinterest, you really should be because it offers up jewels like this blog. Thirteen Thoughts is focused on primarily either self care or blogging and photography tips and tricks. Two very different classes of topics but Paula has a knack for writing very readable, kind, and instructive blog posts. I highly, highly recommend adding this to your daily reading list. Also, her photographs and flat lays are A+ and deserve some serious love.
5. A Trendy Guide to LA
If you’re all about the ‘gram, and you want to know what to see, where to be seen, what to eat, and where to find that infamous pink wall in LA, this is the post for you!
That’s it for this week! Let me know if you visit any of those trendy spots in LA this weekend!
