When I look at my Daily Outfit Inspiration board on Pinterest, print mixing is the one thing that immediately jumps out at me. Spring is right around the corner and I feel like it’s the perfect season to introduce colour and pattern together into your closet. I don’t believe mixing prints has any “rules” per se- in fact, I think most rules get thrown out the window when it comes to this style specifically! Nonetheless, here are a few suggestions on how to mix prints like a pro.

Before you get into the street style and runway photos below, remember the beauty of print mixing is that it will never, ever look dated! It will not go out of style simply because there are endless possibilities around the colours and print combinations you can wear. It may be more popular at certain times than others but it is not a flash in the pan trend that you’ll only wear for one season. If you’ve been thinking about sustainability in fashion, this would be an excellent way of getting more wear out of your existing pieces. You can mix prints with your clothes, your accessories, or both at the same time. It is versatile, fun, playful, and something you can easily do in full colour or monochrome styles.
Go forth and be inspired, friends! Happy print mixing!
