Oh, hello! It’s been a long time since I last published a Friday Finds post, hasn’t it? I’ll blame the pandemonium, home schooling and a surprise pregnancy on my absence hah. Happily though, I’m back and I can’t wait to share some home inspiration with you!
1. 6 Ways to Style a Sideboard
I’m starting off with 6 beautiful ways to style a sideboard. Ours is an Ikea Tarva dresser hack turned into a sideboard in our small dining room. Whatever you use, from an antique showstopper to a mid century marvel or the ever popular Besta unit from Ikea, sideboards are useful, functional, and are a great display surface and design asset in any room!

This is how we styled our “sideboard”: An Ikea Tarva dresser hack!

2. Best of Etsy: William Morris
I love legacy brands so much. They have such legitimacy and are so timeless! William Morris set up Morris and Co. in 1875 and his distinctive flora and fauna designs are as beautiful and on-trend now as they were then. All of his wallpaper and fabric designs are public domain and free for commercial use which is why you can find so much of his work on marketplaces like Etsy. Below is a round up of some of my favourites in this edition of Best of Etsy!

3. 7 Modern Mountain Murals in Kid’s Rooms!
“The mountains are calling and I must go.” – John Muir
I’d like to think that particular quote- full of longing for adventure, achievement, hard work and a sense of “I’ll handle it, come what may”- are the sentiments that have inspired this latest wave of mountainous murals in nurseries and kid’s spaces. After all, isn’t that we would want our children to aspire to? To go forth and conquer? To sit amongst the highest highs on the planet and observe how quiet it is up there and how majestic nature can be? Plus, they’re the epitome of graphic, modern design and who wouldn’t want to wake up to that? I’m half inclined to paint a modern mountain mural in our room!
Here are seven amazing murals to inspire and aspire towards. Onwards and upwards!
