1. New Romantic Style
Guys, I think I just came up with a new kind of interior design style! I’m calling it “New Romantic” style. It’s not entirely traditional or transitional. What’s unique about it? Well, it’s a departure from the earth tone neutrals that dominate transitional design in favour of muted, de-saturated hues both light and dark. New Romantic style is refined and curated but never stuck up, and has all the subtle textures from vintage oil paintings to plush rugs and marble. ALSO it’s utterly livable which is a cornerstone of good interior design because it’s just not enough that something look pretty if it’s so precious that you can’t actually live with it!
Here’s what I mean.

3. My Kids’ Modern and Playful Room
This project is close to my home and heart- this is the room my older two share! If you’d like to see what the nursery looks like, you can take a look here. For the older two, I wanted a space that was mostly neutral, useful and child-friendly. The starting point was the Ikea dresser and the focal point is the wonderful wallpaper from Photowall Sweden. Everything else just came together so naturally after that!
