This week, I’m sharing 5 beautiful bedrooms that caught my eye on Pinterest, plus a departure from my beloved neutrals with a Best of Etsy that showcases colourful home decor. This week, instead of a throwback post, I’m sharing one of my favourite oil paintings as a free download courtesy of the National Gallery of Art!
1. 5 Beautiful Bedrooms
Our bedroom recently underwent a bit of a cosmetic refresh. I’ll be sharing that on the blog soon but you can catch a sneak peek of it over on my Instagram if you can’t wait. That said, I still feel like it is the least “designed” space in our house and has so much potential for looking even better! It’s a classic case of all the big plans minus the big budget/time over here hah. More than that, things are in a little bit of limbo over here as we decide whether or not we want to continue living in California for much longer. We’ve been here 7 years and the itch to move again is real. We’ve got a few places on our radar and will know more after this summer so until then things are sort of on hold at the moment.
Anyway! Let’s get into all of this beautiful bedroom inspiration as I dream of what my own space could be…
Everything about this bedroom is calling my name but especially those mustard velvet armchairs. Via Haus Love.
Kendall Jenner’s bedroom is not as I envisioned at all- although to be fair all I’ve seen is Kylie’s and her taste definitely veers in a different direction. Via AD.
Amber Lewis can do no wrong, as far as I’m concerned. Although this bedroom is more traditional than I prefer, I absolutely still love it and that light fixture the most of all! Via Shoppe Amber Interiors.

I know… Me, talking about colour? It’s rare but it does happen! I wanted to share this round up of colourful home decor from Etsy because all of these pieces caught my eye as I was curating away and it felt right what with Spring just around the corner!

3. The Copley Family: Free Art Download!
This week, I’m sharing one of my favourite oil paintings as a free download courtesy of the National Art Gallery. The image is 41″ x 32″ and you should be able to print it easily at your local FedEx Kinko’s or another print shop. Opt for matte paper as thick as they have it or print directly on to canvas for an absolutely beautiful vintage oil painting! Note: The image will download without the gold frame – I added that for decorative purposes. Since the image is so large, you can also resize it down to a 10″ x 8″ or whatever size your frame is.
