Guys, I’ve been feeling serious Boho-Chic vibes lately. Of course, this might just have to do something with the newest pair of shoes I acquired the other day (and wore with the snazziest flared pants and flower crown), or maybe it’s just because Spring is around the corner and I’m dreaming in colour. I’m always looking for inspiring interiors since our bedroom is a blank space at the moment, literally just a Tuft & Needle mattress on the floor and an area rug I have lukewarm vibes about, and so I keep planning, Pinning and dreaming of the perfect bedroom. Why not add a Boho-Chic design to the mix, right?
What is Boho-Chic, you ask? Well, it’s typically a mix of plants, patterns and textures, and favors a more antique metallic vibe paired with the warmth of carved wood. It is intricate, detailed, soft and flowy (think pom poms and fringe) and is generally a more-is-more approach to colour and style. Admittedly, it can be a little overwhelming, especially if you’re used to seeing more of a cleaner, minimalist palette and live in less-is-more surroundings as we do, but I think there is a lot to be said for combining a modern Scandinavian aesthetic with a Boho-Chic one. In fact, if you read my post on 7 Brilliant Ideas to Refresh Your Home Decor, #6 was the gorgeous home I posted images from that was exactly along those modern Boho-Chic lines and stunningly beautiful!
Below, I’ve rounded up 15 more of my favourite Bohemian interiors that will appeal to clean and modern sensibilities but still have that certain je ne sais quoi. Long live la vie Bohème!

I have a serious colour crush on Indigo. It is the perfect companion to soft white sheets and fringe-edged throws. Plus, its a great way of incorporating some colour for those of us not ready to jump into a super colourful Bohemian lifestyle with both feet! Via Srta-Pepis.

There is so much that is right about this bedroom- from the doorway arch to those beautiful tiles, plus more indigo. I love everything about this space! Via Domaine Home.

A sun-washed turquoise is a beautiful alternative to indigo. Via My Scandinavian Home.

Speaking of turquoise, this tiled space in Morocco is breathtaking. If you ever need to define Bohemian in one image, this is it! Via This is Glamorous.

More Moroccan influence with that gorgeous gold lamp but the blue walls are really what make this space. I don’t think I’m ready to paint our bedroom blue but a pillow or two in this beautiful colour wouldn’t go amiss! Via House & Garden UK.

A hanging bed, lots of plants, coral linens and green shutters as decor? Sign me up for all of this! Via Aloha Means Love.

Beautiful, statement-making carved wooden doors in an otherwise minimalist space equals the perfect balance between Boho-Chic and Scandinavian design. Via My Scandinavian Home.

Another great example of Boho-Chic done in a monochromatic palette usually reserved for Scandinavian interiors. The hanging tapestry as headboard is gorgeous as is the light fixture and the little carved wooden chair that doubles as a nightstand. And of course, that fringe bedding. Beautiful! Via Apartment Therapy.

Another spectacular black and white space grounded by that gorgeous carved wooden door and accented with the fabulous textured bedding. Doesn’t the bed look so inviting? Via Oracle Fox.

I love the relaxed, “undone” vibe in this bedroom. Do you see a pattern emerging? Another beautiful, carved wooden piece (this time a mirror) serving as a focal point for the room, and another set of casual, comfortable bedding in muted tones. Via The Style Files.

This is a gorgeous living room! Shades of silvery grey keep it modern, while a mix of textures, patterns and that amazing light fixture bring in a perfectly Boho-Chic vibe. Via My Scandinavian Home.

Another grey and white space that defines modern Boho-Chic. I also love the gallery wall of prints simply taped to the wall. Easy going and so stylish! Via This Old Apt.

The stars of this minimalist bedroom are those rough hewn wooden beams. What I love is if you changed the pillows on the bed, you could take this space in a completely different direction- it just goes to show that details really do make the design. Via My Scandinavian Home.

A super sweet, Boho-Chic dressing table. Who wouldn’t want a pretty desk like this to get ready at or for writing little love notes (or more likely, grocery lists haha)? I love the pop of pink in the textured rug and all of the carved and patterned details on the desk itself. Via My Scandinavian Home.

That showstopping geometric black and white tile is what adds a perfectly Boho touch to this otherwise modern kitchen. I also love the shape of the windows and how the frames are painted black to emphasize the arches. Via Domaine Home.
So here we are, 15 perfectly gorgeous examples of modern Boho-Chic design! What did you think? Is this something you would incorporate into your own home decor?
Gah! That Moroccan door! I’ve been checking out prices for every moroccan door I come across, that’s how badly I want one. Now I want one in black too. What hath you done?
Bahaha! 😉 But really, you and me both! They’re just gorgeous!
